The Social Compact
John Edwards recently gave a speech on the campaign trail introducing his new Social Compact for America. You can read the details of the program on his website here.
Senator Edwards uses both Social Compact and Social Contract in his recent pronouncements. I prefer Contract over the more cerebral Compact favored by some of America's founding fathers. Sadly no mention of proper cellphone use can be found among the planks of his new platform. Really more of "Here is the Money I will Transfer to You."
