The Lowest Common Denominator
In an interesting series of events, GoDaddy was host to His Royal Highness (HRH as he was called), Prince Andrew, recently. You can read all about the visit here.
HRH was both engaging and gracious. Here he is giving me some business feedback:

What was interesting to me from an Internet perspective was the commentary that appeared quite quickly in posts on a news article. I have excerpted some prime examples below.
1. Danica asked to see Bob's 'Prince Albert', and instead they brought in Prince Andy.
2. Those royals are always sniffing around for some hot poontang!
3. Now this is what you call news. I feel so much better having wasted two minutes of my life reading about this story from this rag. Can it possibly get any more lame?? Did the Queens cousins friends brother-in-law stop off at Exxon for a pooop too??
4. I would assume the prince had better things to do with his time? well then again he married fergie
As you can see, all brilliant, intellectually stimulating responses!
One of the challenges of the Internet stems from its anonymity. When interaction is anonymous, the level of discourse can easily be dragged down to the lowest common denominator of the mob. Online Darkseekers!
