Testing 1-2-3
As I prepare for a trip to an ICANN meeting, I'm prepping for email blogging

a test as I work on further tethering my life to the Internet

I think that there is an inverse relationship between the quality of our life and how much we are "tethered" to the Internet. The more we are "tethered" we spend more and more of our time dealing with minutiae that has no significance and less implicit rewards than we might for example find by playing video or computer games.
I think the bigger and better goal is to be less preoccupied with meaningless activity and instead to engage in activities and mental processes in which we are aware of our surroundings and interacting with the important people in our lives.

Thanks for the thoughtful post Bob. No question it is an increasingly complex world with less and less downtime. Always On connectivity has led to people being Always On!
